My First Bike 12.05.09

Mothers' Day 2009 10.05.09
This Mothers' Day Mummy told me that she REALLY REALLY wanted to go to the Bird Park as she loves it there.. I decided to sacrifice my morning weekend lie in for her, since its her special day. Daddy was not around, so he said i'd better go..
Daddy also helped me to buy Mummy a present as I was too busy to go to the shops myself. Its a beautiful Mother and Child statue from San Francisco. Do you like it?
My favourite bird - The cockatoo! They are so friendly!

( ever the diplomat - Cahaya went around giving seed to everyone who was seed-less and encouraged them to feed the birds.. ) "here. feed da bird!"

Mummy's Musings - Toilet Training Day Four
DAY FOUR- Things seem to be going downhill.
She begged for a diaper again to do a poo. I had to relent or else she'd just do it on the floor if I didn't give her one.
She pee'd at 8am but didn't pee again all day at school. Would not go to the toilet there either.
Came home and no pees till she hid behind the couch and did one secretly there.
Has developed a strong adversion to the toilet. Will not go to it, will not sit on one.
Dry diaper after nap.
Dry all day.. would not use potty or toilet at Auntie Amelie's house. Pants seemed a bit damp, think she pee'd a bit in them..
Didn't pee all the way till bedtime..
Sleep patterns getting worse too. Its getting harder to leave her and she makes such a fuss when I do. Everything seems to be falling apart right now. I'm terribly disappointed. I did not think it would be this difficult.

DAY THREE - No accidents all morning at school, but refused to use toilet at school. came home, 2 accidents within an hour. One on the bed and one in the shower, despite asking her repetitively if she wanted to use the toilet.

No accidents all afternoon. But she didn't use toilet at all either. Am worried.

Mummy's Musings - Toilet Training Day Two
Day Two - Mummy's Day Two of Toilet training has not gone well. Too many accidents to count, tempers lost and tears shed. And we're not just talking about Cahaya here...
8.00am - used toilet on Risa's request.
9.00am - Poo'd in her panties!
At school pick up time I was informed that she wet herself twice as she told the teacher too late and had wet herself before the could get to the toilet.
No shoo-shoo's till nap time. Lots of 'pretending-to-want-to-go-to-the-toilet' moments, but nothing actually happening. Mainly wanting to play with toilet paper and flush!
4pm - up from nap. Insisted on wearing a diaper. Risa gave her one. I took it off.
4.30pm - At Doctors Office, took her to toilet but nothing happened.
10 minutes later, she takes off her shoes and while i'm talking to the doctor, takes a whizz in the corner!!
On to Auntie Tammie's house.
5.30pm - asks for toilet but nothing comes out. Constant reminders not to pee in car seat home... nothing happened. Thankfully!
Went to park.. nothing happened.. constant reminders to "ask me for the loo , okay... "
Come home, stands in the porch and pees all over her shoes. Clarks at that!! Had to be the day the crocs were NOT on!!!
8.45pm - in bed and one more trying-her-luck session but I just said , " Pee in your diaper!! " Goodnight!!
Oh man .. please tell me it gets better tomorrow. Somebody! Anybody!!
( I am convinced this is all on purpose. She's wayyy to smart for this. She is just doing it cos someone is telling her to pee in the pot. Defiant little sod! )

Mummy's Musings - Toilet Training Day One
DAY ONE - started off pretty much as normal, except there were PANTIES instead of a DIAPER at breakfast.
Off we went to school and Cahaya probably had 100 reminders, " You DON'T HAVE A DIAPER ON OKAY!!! " before we even left the door. She was very amused by the waterproof liner on her carseat ( phew )
Her Teacher took her right in to the toilet but nothing happened.
This was repeated every 1/4 hour and nothing happened each time.
Then at 11am she told the teacher, " I wanna go toilet" but by the time they got there, she'd already started pee-ing and finished it off in the toilet.. so, ONE ACCIDENT.
Came home and during lunch screamed , " I wanna Poo-Poo! Diaper Diaper Diaper!" She was begging for a diaper but by the time my maid got it on her, she had crouched in a corner and done the dirty deed! Oh well...
Nap time. Was a bit hard to put diaper on.. she kept saying , "NO DIAPER" and I had to explain why she needed one DURING nap times and not other times. Ok .. now that's settled... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz for 2 hours.. sopping wet diaper..
No accidents all evening despite having a friend over and a lot of excitement. She went by herself to the toilet to sit down, but nothing came out, so we just wiped and flushed.
One pee before we went out to the park on my asking. This is now 2 hours after she woke from her nap. Better bladder control than me!! No accidents in park despite all the excitement! Yay!
No accidents during dinner, and one pee just before bathtime. 2 hours after the last pee. Hmmm is there a pattern emerging? Must keep track of hours in between so I know how often I need to keep reminding her!
Diaper on for bedtime. 9pm lights out.. Good night sweetheart! Good Job for Day One! Mummy is so proud!

Mummy's Musings - Toilet Training
Cahaya has recently been saying , 'I want to go to toilet' and I just kept telling her - 'You HAVE a diaper on, - what ARE you talking about??' . Anyway, then, she started dragging out this toilet seat attachment that I bought in a Jumble Sale many months ago, that she's NEVER even taken notice of! ( GODMA ELAINE - THIS IS THE ONE YOU ONCE WANTED TO POST FROM THE USA REMEMBER- u r always right!! !! And Thank you Aunty Tammie for the loan of yours so I could put it upstairs too, to maintain consistency! ) And she was setting it up on the toilet, and 3 days ago, she actually started pee-ing in it!! I would give her a tissue and she'd wipe - front to back!! And flush too!
SO - I figured she's READY! ( At 2years, 5 months , 1 week and 5 days old - she's READY! - late by Asian standards I know - but with Cahaya- all in her own time )
I have decided to ditch tha potty stage altogether and go straight to the big throne as she has always had a resentment towards the potty. ( my fault for buying it wayyy too early! )
So - for the next few days I will be recording The Progress of this All-Important Stage of Cahaya's life - Life On The John! ;-) Stay tuned for all the info! TMI ( Too Much Information ) as some would put it!
